RELIEVE STRESS AND MOVE TOWARD WELLNESS

Studies have shown that long term stress is a major contributor to ill health, both physical and emotional. This workshop focuses on using Qigong (Chi Kung) and breath practices to help move us out of stress.

 

Here’s how it works:

Qigong’s simple, flowing movements take us from the sympathetic “fight or flight” nervous system response into the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state. The parasympathetic state gives space for our bodily functions, like digestion, to work better. Our breath becomes deeper, blood circulates better, our thoughts become clearer. The body’s innate healing ability can kick in.

This workshop will focus on a short 5 movement sequence to help decrease your stress while increasing your sense of health and vitality. Handouts will be provided. Movements can be modified to suit individual needs. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and soft soled shoes.
