FRIDAY, March 10th and 17th @1:00PM

About

If you are looking for a fun and simple way to improve your flexibility and balance, reduce stress, increase your energy level, and tone and strengthen your muscles, you will love a Taste of Just Breathe Tai Chi!

Tai Chi is known as moving meditation—using a series of gentle movements and deepened breathing that creates harmony between the mind and body.

In this class, you will learn basic Tai Chi movements that you can practice any day, any time, everywhere! All experience levels are welcome and can benefit from Tai Chi.

Classes are taught with an emphasis on relaxation and increasing balance and flexibility.  Modifications are available for physical considerations. The goal is to relax, have fun, and increase and maintain health. We do this by focusing on breathing and the gentle movements of Tai Chi.

Why Practice Tai Chi?

  • Increases balance, stamina, and strength.

  • Improves overall health and flexibility.

  • Decreases stress and symptoms of aging.

  • Promotes physical, emotional, and mental relaxation.

  • Great for joint surgery prep and rehab

  • Practice it anywhere—no special clothing or equipment needed.

A Taste of Just Breathe Tai Chi classes are taught by Kris Brinker, founder of Just Breathe Tai Chi. Kris has been teaching Tai Chi and Qigong classes in Northern VA for over 20 years. She also teaches online Tai Chi classes and has developed Tai Chi and Qigong online video classes. Her online live Zoom and online on-demand classes have allowed Kris to teach students all over the world.

Her open and expressive teaching style makes it easy for students to understand and copy the movements practiced in her classes. Classes are fun and rewarding for any experience level.

Tai Chi and Qigong have been widely recommended by places like the Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School to prevent and reverse health conditions related to aging! Tai Chi is a great practice for fall prevention, arthritis, and Parkinson’s and healing from joint surgeries. The practice is also great for high blood pressure, poor sleep, back and neck pain, and chronic stress.
